WoodysCarSite Find: Next Gen Nissan Maxima?
With the exception of the current Maxima, I have always been a fan, I love how these cars drive and I have even heard that when Honda looks at their Accord, they always look to see what the Maxima is doing....

EGMCarTech: Let’s Talk Numbers: Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 vs. Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SR V6
Our senior editor Chris Chin recently went out and leased a 2011 Honda Accord Coupe V6. Coming out of owning a used Jaguar X308 XJ8 (which he only owned for a couple of months after swearing to keep the car for a lifetime), Chris found himself in an Accord Coupe V6 with a manual transmission. How does he like? Well, he’s put together a review for you guys (which will be published tomorrow) and has promised to provide monthly updates during his ownership of the vehicle.Either way, I thought it would be nice to have a ‘Let’s Talk Numbers’ war with the 2011 Honda Accord Coupe V6 against its closest rival before we publish the review tomorrow. Here is the 2011 Honda Accord Coupe V6 vs. the 2011 Nissan Altima Coupe V6.

Honda Says It Isn’t Planning U.S. Asset-Backed Security Sale
March 6 (Bloomberg) -- Honda Motor Co. said it doesn’t plan to issue new securities backed by auto loans after a Japanese news agency reported that the carmaker’s U.S. credit arm seeks to raise about $1 billion every few months from such sales.
Japan’s Nikkei English News said today that Honda’s American Honda Finance Corp. would regularly issue 100 billion yen ($1.02 billion) of asset-backed bonds, citing no sources. Nissan Motor Co.’s U.S. finance arm plans to raise a similar amount with ABS issues, Nikkei said.
“We aren’t currently issuing asset-backed securities,” said Marcos Frommer, a spokesman for Honda’s U.S. unit in Torrance, California. Economic conditions don’t favor such sales, he said.
Fred Standish, a spokesman for Nissan’s U.S. unit, said the company doesn’t discuss future financing options such as ABS sales. Nissan raised $475 million from an ABS sale in December, he said.
Honda and Nissan are both based in Tokyo.

Nissan Backed Toyota Dealership Closes
A Nissan backed Toyota dealership, I don't know what to think of that....
The recently opened Superior Toyota of Oakland hoped to be a rare example of an auto dealership that could swim against the harsh economic tide.
On Tuesday, employees were informed the 200,000-square-foot dealership at 8181 Oakport St. at Hegenberger Road would be shut down at the close of business Tuesday. It came as a surprise as the grand opening of the site was to be scheduled soon, and cars were being placed in the window fronting Interstate 880 this week.
Even a huge sign near Oracle Arena declared the site "now open."
While it's a Toyota dealership, owner Michael Kahn said Nissan actually provided the financing for the new building.
