cara kerja liquid cool

So.. jangan berpatokan hanya kepada cc... ocree...??? :D

Audi A1 - Auto Shows in show room

German luxury automaker Audi dips into the diminutive as it unveils a concept of the pending A1, which it calls the Audi Metroproject Quattro, as a plug-in hybrid at October's Tokyo auto show.

The new A1 and its expected S1 performance twin are premium subcompacts, and the mules tested to date have been caught riding on the new Volkswagen Polo's underpinnings. Whether or not the A1 gets a more unique chassis, it will slot below the A3 that currently is Audi's entry-level vehicle, and the A1 will go head-to-head with the Mini Cooper and will be larger than the Smart Fortwo.

It is a second kick at the can: The expensive Audi A2 subcompact did not do well in Europe and was discontinued a couple years ago.

The four-passenger A1 is slated to go into production in late 2009 in three- and five-door hatch body styles (a B-pillar would be added for the production vehicles), followed a year later by a convertible. The lineup is also expected to include a two-door coupe. The S1 might have all-wheel drive.

2008 Fiat 500 - First Drive Review

Retro is still cool, according to Fiat, which has already tapped into its past for a new badge and created a fashionable range of merchandise featuring its logo style from the 1920s.

The latest Fiat 500—cinquecento in Italian—is also about reestablishing Fiat's Italian pride. Five years ago, Fiat was in dire straits and seemed certain to fall into the arms of General Motors under an agreement made in 2000. Sergio Marchionne, a Canadian-Italian businessman, was appointed CEO of Fiat in 2004 and given the freedom to do whatever it took to turn the company around. His first action was to negotiate a divorce settlement with GM, which ended up costing the General $2 billion. A jubilant and now cash-rich Fiat put ads in newspapers throughout Italy proclaiming, "Fiat is Italian again."

Small cars are Fiat's specialty, and a range of new ones—starting with its cheapest model, the Panda, and following with the Grande Punto—has improved Fiat's sales. Following the success of the modern-day Volkswagen New Beetle and Mini Cooper, Fiat presented the Trepiuno concept at the 2004 Geneva auto show. The concept borrowed the design of the 1950 Nuova Fiat 500 but was built on a modern Panda platform. Three years later, and 50 years to the day after the first appearance of the iconic original, a party that involved the whole city of Turin welcomed the debut of the '08 500.

Film buffs will remember the old 500 from La Dolce Vita and some of Fellini's other films. It was tiny (116 inches long), had suicide doors, two seats with room for luggage where the back seats would be, and a spartan specification—a rear-mounted 479cc engine and a four-speed manual transmission without the benefit of synchromesh. In postwar Italy, owning one was a rite of passage for Italian motorists.

The new car has no relationship to the old, other than the surprisingly faithful adaptation of the body shape. The '08 is significantly larger—it's 139.8 inches long—accommodates four people, and offers a range of gas and diesel four-cylinder engines that drive the front wheels. The cabin has the spirit of the original, with its simple cream-colored plastic that looks like Bakelite, but it also has modern conveniences: seven airbags, climate control, and a connector for your iPod.

Luca De Meo, the youthful Fiat brand boss, admits the success of BMW's revisionist Mini did influence some of the reborn 500's traits. Like the Mini, the 500 is ripe for customizing. There are 11 exterior colors, seven trim levels, 19 decal packs, and more than 100 accessories available at launch. And like the Mini, there will be a family of 500s, including a convertible and a wagon.

There is a big difference between the price of the Fiat and a Mini Cooper. Fiat 500 prices in Europe start at about $16,000. If that seems high, blame the weak dollar; this price point is about $6000 less than what the cheapest Mini costs in Europe. And although its German owners are content for the Mini to be a stand-alone brand, the 500 is actually Fiat's halo car, albeit its smallest model, but one that sells for a premium and will likely enhance Fiat's reputation. You could call it bottom-up marketing.

Riding atop the Panda's front-drive platform, the 500 handles well. With a lower center of gravity than the Panda and a wider stance, the 1.4-liter 500 feels better than the equivalent Panda. It is an entertaining drive, with enough power to spin its front wheels, a slick six-speed gearbox that does a good job of compensating for the engine's lack of torque, and a sport button that increases the effort of the electric power steering while increasing throttle sensitivity. The seating position is a bit too high and the interior trim doesn't feel quite as good as it looks, but the designers deserve credit for the new-old style of the single instrument, which houses a speedometer and tachometer in concentric circles and has an electronic display at the center.

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback – Official Photos and Info

The concept of positive reinforcement—when at first you succeed, do it some more—is not lost on Mitsubishi Motors. Hence, the company is poised to unveil a five-door variant of its handsome and successful entry-level model, the Lancer, to be called the Lancer Sportback, at the 2008 Paris auto show this fall. To help pass the time until September, Mitsubishi has released some advanced information and photos, which we in turn pass on to you.

If this looks familiar, it’s because the very first new-gen Lancer concept car, at the 2005 Frankfurt auto show, was a sexy slantback. And, more recently, at the 2008 Geneva auto show in March, the Sportback was previewed in the form of the Prototype S concept.

The Prototype S also previewed the upcoming Ralliart powertrain, equipped as it was with a zesty, 235-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and four-wheel drive. The Ralliart sedan goes on sale in September.

No Decision Yet, But It’s a Given

Both the base Lancer Sportback and a Sportback Ralliart edition have been confirmed for production globally. Technically, Mitsubishi hasn’t announced it will sell the Sportback in the U.S—a spokesman says that decision won’t be made until September at the earliest. But he did say that “with market focus going toward compacts, it’s a pretty wise bet,” for an introduction within 18 months and that there are no safety-related or regulatory hoops for the Sportback to jump through. If the concept of positive reinforcement has global applications, we expect the U.S. arm of the company will get a memo soon, if they haven’t already.

No Surprises, No Sportback Evo

Other than a more versatile bodystyle with a hatchback and a huge, shelf-like rear spoiler, the Sportback offers few surprises. Both standard and Ralliart models feature most of the same styling elements as their sedan counterparts, both of which are based on the narrower, non-Evo Lancer bodies but with trim-specific grillework, skirts, and wheels.

What about a wide-body Evo Sportback with flared fenders and huge wheels to kick some family-car fanny alongside the Subaru WRX STI? “There will never be an Evo version of the Sportback,” the spokesman tells Car and Driver. The idea was kicked around during the concept phase, but it was snuffed out early, he says. Obviously, we had no say in the matter.

2009 BMW 750i / 750Li / 7-Series – Official Photos and Information

There is no question that the 2002–2008 BMW 7-series, in all of its iterations, was a supremely capable luxury sedan with a pretty spectacular list of capabilities. Superlative as it was, however, it was a lightning rod for criticism involving everything from its bloated styling to its complex iDrive interface. Furthermore, the competition has since matched—if not surpassed—the Seven in many dynamic respects.

Well, we just got our paws on the first official photos and info about the all-new, fifth-generation BMW 7-series. And while it probably won’t be the game-changer the last one was, it’s got quite a serve.

The Sexiest Seven Ever?

For starters, it’s vastly better looking. At 199.7 inches, it is now 1.3 inches longer than before and just as wide; height is down a half-inch. The subtle redesign does wonders to mask the new Seven’s enormity—something the previous model, with its slab sides and blunt fascias, never did. Rather, with its lower nose and tidier tush, the ’09 model’s overall appearance is more lithe, less like a land whale, and more befitting a BMW flagship.

Particularly in its tall, sculpted bodysides, flat hood, and fast windshield, the Seven exhibits a lot of influence from the scrumptious Gran Turismo, the four-door coupe based on the Concept CS that debuted at the 2007 Shanghai auto show. The Seven’s signature kidney grille dips down just as low, visually reducing the front bumper mass, and is flanked by much cleaner headlamp assemblies with edgy illuminated brows (though we’re not really sure what’s going on with the lower air intake). Better yet, the Bangle butt—the bustle-back trunk further disfigured by an ill-placed cut-line—has been banished. It’ll be missed. Not.

750i And 750Li For U.S., To Start

The new Seven will be introduced initially in 750i and 750Li guise, powered by the same superstar twin-turbo direct-injection 4.4-liter V-8 found that provides serious catapulsion for the X6 xDrive50i, thanks to its 400 horsepower (between 5500 and 6400 rpm) and 450 lb-ft of torque, all of which is available between 1750 and 4500 revs. That’s 40 more horses and a fat 90 more lb-ft of torque than the 4.8-liter V-8 in the current 750i and 750Li, and just 38 hp shy and six lb-ft more than today’s V-12-powered 760Li. BMW claims a 0-to-62-mph time of just 5.2 seconds (and BMW is usually conservative with its estimates) for the new 750i. That’s what we call progress.

Other markets will get 740i and Li models, powered by a 322-hp/332 lb-ft version of BMW’s deified twin-turbocharged inline-6, and 735d models get BMW’s equally splendid turbo-diesel six that makes 241 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. All engines come paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and, at this point anyway, rear-wheel drive. Given the state of the market, we wouldn’t be surprised to see 740 models make it stateside in coming years. In any case, BMW promises that the 750 will have “class-leading” fuel economy, though we’ll have to wait for official EPA numbers to judge.

New Suspension, Rear-Wheel Steering, And A Track (!) Mode

Chassis improvements include a first-for-a-BMW-sedan unequal-length control arm suspension up front, and a redesigned, aluminum-intensive suspension in back. Steering still comes from a variable-assist, variable-ratio, rack-and-pinion system, programmed to provide hydraulic assistance only when called for in order to save fuel. Optional in the Sport Package will be “Integral Active Steering” with speed-sensitive rear-wheel steering as part of BMW’s controversial-enough Active Steering system

2009 BMW 328i / 328xi / 335d / 335xi / 335i / 3-Series Sedan and Wagon – Official Photos and Info -

BMW has released the first official pictures of the new 3-series sedan and wagon that will be unveiled this fall at the 2009 Paris auto show, prior to going on sale in North America in October.

The changes are not jaw-dropping—we didn’t expect BMW to mess too much with a car that remains the benchmark small luxury sedan—but the changes are noticeable. The 3-series picks up design elements from the all-new 2009 7-series with fresh front and rear styling. Slab sides and blunt fascias of the past have been given more elegance and character, new headlights and taillights bookmark the upgraded look, and there is a newly contoured hood. The familial resemblance will continue on the forthcoming new 5-series, which we have only seen spy photos of.

The big news for the U.S. is the addition of the 335d with BMW’s new twin-turbo, 3.0-liter, inline-six diesel engine with common-rail direct injection in November. It should deliver 286 hp at 4400 rpm with an engine BMW describes as its most powerful and lightweight diesel six-cylinder. Its Variable Twin Turbo system uses a small turbocharger initially at low engine speeds—working to avoid turbo lag—and as engine speed increases, the second and larger turbocharger kicks in. BMW claims the 335d will go 0-to-62 mph in 6.0 seconds in the sedan and 6.1 seconds in the wagon.

The 3.0-liter gasoline six (with twin-turbos in the 335i), is unchanged in the U.S. models. While the 325i in Europe gets direct injection, it does not spill over to the 328i for North America.

The European lineup consists of five diesel and five gasoline options for a lineup that includes the 318i, 318d, 320i, 320d, 325i, 325d, 330i, 330d, 330xd, 335i, and 335d. To save fuel, all have brake-energy regeneration and auto start/stop.

Transmissions also are unchanged on this side of the ocean, meaning the six-speed automatic remains. For Europe, BMW announces that the seven-speed double-clutch automated manual is available on the 335i coupe and convertible. All U.S. officials will say is it is not in the cards for the U.S. for 2009. Our 2009 coupe and convertible keep the same look, so there is hope that when these body styles make their styling changes, the new tranny is part of the enhancements—likely for 2010.

Like its bigger brothers, the 3-series will get the next-gen iDrive system when equipped with an optional navigation system. In Europe, it can pull routes from the internet as BMW plans the world premier of ConnectedDrive which offers internet use inside the vehicle (when stopped) as an option. The data would stream in via EDGE technology, similar to that used by Blackberries—but it is not available in the U.S. What we are promised: the oft-hated controller knob of the iDrive system will provide “fast and intuitive menu selection.” We’re anxious to prove them right.

The 3-series gets BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system as an option with some models, including Europe’s 320xd which is the first pairing of xDrive with a four-cylinder engine in a 3-series.

Interior improvements include new trim combinations, more accessible electric window controls, a new 8.8-inch color monitor, 80-gigabyte hard disc to store satellite navigation software and MP3 music files.

hot car 2009 Lotus Eagle

Lotus has released basic information and our first look at the 2009 Lotus “Eagle” as a teaser prior to next week’s British auto show where the car’s true identity will be revealed—Eagle is just its internal codename.

Until then, what we know for certain is that the Eagle will be positioned above the Elise and Exige S models and, like the not-for-the-U.S. Europa, aims to provide increased day-to-day usability. Think Porsche Cayman as opposed to all-out track toy: the Eagle will carry more creature comforts and be larger (although that’s a relative term) than the Elise and Exige.

The basic structure is similar to every other modern Lotus: mid-engined, lightweight, and smaller than most everything else on the road. Like the Europa, the Eagle has a sloped rear window and a fixed roof, although a convertible will arrive at a later date.

The Eagle will be offered either as a true two-seater or with a 2+2 seating arrangement, although Lotus warns the rear seats are only suitable for children, and we suspect only those with very short legs.

Power will come from a Toyota 3.5-liter V-6 with variable valve timing tuned to produce 276 horsepower, and Lotus says the car clears the 0-to-60-mph sprint in less than five seconds and tops out around 160 mph.

The Eagle employs typical Lotus aerodynamic tricks to keep the car planted at high speeds, including a rear diffuser and spoiler. Lotus engineers claim the Eagle is quicker around the famed Nürburgring circuit than the Elise.

Inside there are way more toys than in the Exige and Elise: air conditioning, leather seating, a tire-pressure monitoring system, a backup camera, cool blue LED lighting, and a remote garage-door opener.

There’s also a slick Alpine audio and navigation system with satellite radio, iPod, and Bluetooth connectivity, and a clever audio equalizer. We recently installed a similar system in our long-term Subaru WRX STI, and it sounds great.

As a further concession to practicality, the Eagle even has a rear-mounted trunk that’s supposed to fit a set of golf clubs. Because it’s mounted behind the engine, the trunk is cooled to stop engine heat from melting cargo—but we wouldn’t go so far as to put ice cream back there. Lotus rounds out the features list with anti-lock brakes and traction and stability control.

Check back next week for our coverage of the Eagle’s official unveiling, but Lotus says it will be another six months before the car is available for test drives. The Eagle—or whatever its real name is—will go on sale in spring 2009, with only 2000 to be built per year. We’re waiting to hear back from Lotus on how many, if any, are headed to the U.S. The car is the first of three new models Lotus promises as part of a five-model business plan to grow the niche brand.

2009 Subaru WRX STI Spec C - Spied on the road

Just as we were wondering how you could possibly make the Subaru WRX STI a little more expensive, we get spy shots of a Spec C version testing at the Nürburgring. With our long-term STI ringing in near $38,000, we can only imagine what a special edition might cost.
For those who may not know, the Spec C has become a little tradition of Subaru’s. It’s an offering that’s never been available to us here in the U.S., although the optional package usually entails taking a standard STI and making a few small upgrades that really add up. Minor engine tweaks, an ECU tune, improved suspension, mild body modifications, big white wheels with sticky tires, huge brakes, and weight reduction usually make up the rally-inspired package, and we don’t expect much deviation from this formula for Subaru’s newest interpretation of the STI.

While the changes seen in these spy photos are very subtle, those evident definitely point toward this being a Spec C mule. First, notice the front brake calipers—they’re definitely larger than the existing STI’s and appear to be six-piston units, a trademark of the previous Spec C.

Also, this test car is rolling on big white wheels wrapped in what appear to be upgraded tires and there is a much altered diffuser in the rear. With the 2008 Subaru WRX STI already released and on sale, we’d say it’s very likely you’re looking at the middle stages of development for a new Spec C.

Subaru has not given us any hints that an American Spec C is on the way—but the fact Nissan has given us the GT-R for the first time gives us faint hope. But should the Japanese automaker give us a pleasant surprise, don’t expect to get into one for less than $40,000 based on the STI’s already frightening price.

If it does arrive, we can’t wait to stage a duel with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR.

Honda New Model 2008

Honda Motor announced its new 2008 motorcycle models. The models are on display at the Paris International Motorcycle Show, which is part of the Paris International Two-Wheel Show that opened on Saturday, September 29, in Paris, France. It was reported at least three renewal model that will be produced in 2008; CBR1000RR, XL700V Transalp, and CBF600

Honda CBR1000RR

Honda CBF1000-2008This year the CBR1000RR super sports bike, popular for its high performance and stylish design, has undergone a full model change, featuring the latest in advanced technologies honed in Honda’s MotoGP (FIM* Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix) machines. The engine and frame construction have been changed along with the fairing design for weight reduction and greater concentration of mass.

This super sports model features a water-cooled, high-output 4-stroke, in-line 4-cylinder 1,000cc engine. For the new 2008 model, the number of components has been reduced to make the bike more compact, and the new lightweight, die-cast aluminum frame provides a smooth ride with just the right amount of rigidity. These and other modifications succeed in reducing overall vehicle weight by 6kg compared to the previous model. The rear swingarm has also been lengthened for improved road holding and increased rigidity, and a gull arm design adopted to secure greater freedom for muffler layout. The exhaust system is positioned under the pillion step to bring it closer to the bike’s center of gravity, with a short muffler that further contributes to the concentration of mass. This painstaking attention is to detail results in a highly sophisticated design. Other features that add to the bike appeal the motorcycle include the newly developed assist slipper clutch for easier clutch operation and an enhanced feeling of rider security thanks to the mitigation of abrupt engine braking during downshifting. The new model’s styling features compact front and rear fairing designed to present an image of extreme compactness, combined with mirrors with built-in turn signals to achieve a cool, aggressive look. Manufactured at Honda’s Hamamatsu Factory in Japan, it will be released successively in European markets.

Honda XL700V Transalp

XL700VAlso sporting a makeover this year is the XL700V Transalp, the dual-purpose sports model fitted with a 2-cylinder, V-twin engine that delivers powerful low- to mid-range torque for outstanding performance in all riding conditions. The Transalp’s engine displacement has been increased from 650cc to 700cc for improved acceleration, and the headlight redesigned for a more aggressive look.

The Transalp is a dual-purpose sports model with a water-cooled, 4-stroke, 700cc V-twin engine. For the new model, engine displacement has been increased from 650cc to 700cc and the bike newly fitted with Programmed Fuel Injection system (PGM-FI), for improved midrange output combined with the environmental performance required to comply with Euro 3 regulations. Other performance improvements include a new ABS system and a smaller 19-inch front tire with a wider 140mm rear tire for enhanced riding stability. New large headlight and distinctive new turn signal units replacing the built-in signals along with a newly designed chassis present a more intrepid look, set off with sportier styling around the front side fairing. Manufactured at Montesa Honda S.A., a local manufacturing subsidiary established by Honda in Spain which began operations in 1986, the XL700V Transalp will be released successively in European markets.

Honda CBF600

Honda CBF600 2008The CBF600 sports model, popular for its nimble handling, has been given a further boost in performance with a more compact, lightweight engine with enhanced output in an all-new aluminum die-cast, mono-backbone frame. Honda also announced that for the first time, the CBF600 will feature the ease of operation and superior performance of Honda’s CBS (Combined Brake System), which works in synergy with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) to ensure outstanding braking control for a safer, more stable ride.

Equipped with a water-cooled, 4-stroke, 600cc in-line 4-cylinder engine in a mono-backbone frame, the CBF600 sports model is acclaimed for its nimble handling. To improve both performance and practicality, this year’s model has been fitted with a more compact, higher-output engine based on the one used in the 2007 CBR600RR and CB600F Hornet, both of which were fully remodeled last year. New features including Programmed Fuel Injection system (PGM-FI) for precise fuel control and a lightweight, aluminum die-cast frame help deliver superior ride performance and outstanding environmental performance. Comfort enhancements include an adjustable front suspension that allows the rider to choose the setting that best suits his or her own preferences and a newly configured Combined ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) featuring Honda’s CBS front-rear brake-force distribution system for a more secure braking feel. Manufactured by Honda Italia Industriale S.P.A., Honda’s Italian motorcycle and power products manufacturing and sales subsidiary, the CBF600 will be made available successively in European markets.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2008

The 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes packed with so many features which make it a good competitor other luxurious gas-guzzlers such BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, and new Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

2008 jeep grand cherokee

The 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Overland trims fitted with leather-wrapped parking brake handles. The Overland will also get additional leather package on seats, doors and the dashboard. Those dwelling in the cold climate regions will probably like its new heated second row seats as well as MyGIG infotainment system with its MP3 playability, Bluetooth connectivity, 20GB integrated hard drive (an SSD drive would be even better, though) and DVD player.

Unlike the typical members of Detroit rolling iron club, even some luxury ones, the new SUV, according to Chrysler, will be available with soft to touch dashboard materials and better interior textures. The steering column will provide tilt and telescope adjustments so that nothing prevents you from enjoying the new instrument cluster.

Minor exterior upgrades include new headlamp design and refreshed front fascia and corporate grille.

Company also promises that there will soon be new, even more luxurious, S-Limited trim to the Grand Cherokee range. The model will be additionally equipped with original 18-inch alloys, SRT body-colored wire mesh front grille and body-colored rear view mirrors, rear spoiler and privacy glass.

TOYOTA SNAKEBITTEN, SOAKED ON TENNESSEE SHORT TRACK

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 16, 2008) – In Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race, Camry drivers Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin each had their shot at victory, but ultimately shared disappointment at Bristol Motor Speedway, with a pair of late-race incidents gift-wrapping the win for Jeff Burton.

Stewart led a race-high 267 of 506 laps in the No. 20 Home Depot Camry, including to the green flag after a late-race caution with five to go. Hamlin shot past Stewart to take the lead on lap 497, and Kevin Harvick -- running third at the time -- tried to slip by the No. 20 Camry as well, but made contact with Stewart, sending the car spinning and the caution flag waving, setting up a 'green-white-checkered' finish on the half-mile Tennessee oval.

Hamlin was leading the two-lap shootout when his No. 11 FedEx Camry appeared to run out of fuel on the backstretch, dashing his hopes at victory. Hamlin coasted to a sixth-place finish -- the highest among the 10 Camrys in the field -- while Stewart settled for 14th in the final running order.

"I know I could have held those guys off there at the end, but we were either out of fuel or it was a fuel pickup problem," said Hamlin, who led 98 laps. "By all of our calculations, we were good on fuel to the end including a 'green-white-checkered' but we just couldn't seem to pick all of it up. It's been that kind of season for us. We can't get a break. It's really too bad because we had a great FedEx Express Camry today. We led a bunch of laps, and then had to battle all the way back to have a shot at the end. Once we got it, we just couldn't finish it off."

Kyle Busch (17th) and David Reutimann (20th) also scored top-20 finishes for Toyota. Camry drivers Michael Waltrip (23rd), J.J. Yeley (25th), Dave Blaney (34th), Dale Jarrett (37th), Brian Vickers (39th) and Mike Skinner (40th) were also in the field.

With the finish, Busch maintains the lead in the unofficial NSCS point standings, 30 points ahead of Greg Biffle (782-752). Stewart (seventh), Vickers (15th) and Hamlin (17th) are also in the top-20 in points after five of 36 races.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series enjoys a weekend off before heading to Martinsville Speedway (March 30).

In Saturday's rain-shortened NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at Bristol, three Toyota Camrys were running in the top-10 when the skies opened and the race was called after 171 of the schedule 300 laps were complete.

Defending NNS series runner-up Reutimann wound up third in the No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing, the best result among the five Toyota drivers in the field and his best NNS finish of the season, running behind race-winner Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne.

Reutimann started fifth after rain for much of the weekend canceled qualifying, setting the starting grid per the NASCAR rulebook, and maintained his position early in the race, but the car improved as the laps clicked off.

The Zephyrhills, Fla.-native had one of the fastest cars on the track when the rain started to fall just past the race's midpoint, running lap times consistent with the leaders and making up ground as the top two cars navigated lapped traffic. The rain persisted and the track became too slick to continue, and Reutimann had to settle for a third-place result.

"You never know what's going to happen with the weather," said Reutimann, following the race. "I would've liked to see it go green a little while longer, to see what we could've done with those guys, but with the rain coming and washing us out, a third place finish isn't that bad, either."

Jason Leffler finished sixth in the No. 38 Great Clips Camry for Braun Racing, his best NNS result of the season. Like Reutimann, Leffler's car was working its best during the long green-flag run before the rain, picking off positions before the weather came.

Mike Wallace put a third Camry in the top-10, finishing 10th in the No. 7 GEICO Camry for Germain Racing.

Toyota drivers Hamlin (26th) and Busch (42nd) were also in the field. Busch was collected in a lap 12 incident that caused heavy left-side damage to his No. 32 Hass Avocados from Mexico Camry, while Hamlin -- who led the race's first 37 laps -- was forced to make a pair of green-flag pit stops after debris on the race track punctured a tire on the No. 20 Z-Line Designs Camry, trapping the car four laps down.

With the finish, Reutimann jumped to fifth in the unofficial NNS point standings, now trailing points leader Kevin Harvick by 80 points (751-671). Wallace (seventh, 603 points), Leffler (ninth, 579 points) and Busch (10th, 568 points) are also in the top-10 in points after five of 35 races.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) returns to action March 22 at Nashville Superspeedway.
