Daihatsu Copen Mini Roadster

The Daihatsu Copen Mini Roadster is, as you can tell from the photos, small. It aims to bring a new and exciting dynamic to the compact-car market by being the first baby-roadster with an electrically operated metal roof. Push the 'transmute' button, and in about 25 seconds, the roof retracts and you can experience the joy of open-air driving.

The Daihatsu is a tiny car, measuring 3.4 metres in length and just 1.47 metres in width. It will seat two people, take very little luggage (with the top down) and is shod with bicycle-like 165/50 tyres.

It weighs an astonishing 830kg, and drives through the front wheels, courtesy of a 5-speed manual transmission. Powering the mini-roadster is an equally mini 656cc inline-four cylinder engine, which would be more at home on a Suzuki GSX-R sportsbike.

Still, with such a light weight and the addition of a turbocharger, the 0.7-litre engine will happily bounce off its 8500rpm rev limiter, endowing it with more than respectable acceleration.

The DOHC, 16-valve beast makes 47kW @ 6000rpm, with 110Nm of torque @ 3200rpm, making for a wide spread of power.

While 47kW may sound pretty weak, consider how much you would save if your car did 18 kilometres per litre of petrol.

The Copen, like the Nissan Skyline GTR, is currently only for sale in Japan, but it has been confirmed for export to the UK. What does this mean for us? It has a better chance to make it over here, especially the more people know about it. But in all likelihood, it would probably sell for not much less than the 1.6-litre Peugeot 206CC, perhaps at around $30,000.

The engine of Daihatsu announce that they will release a new MPV at the end of February. The Daihatsu Luxio new MPV will have 120 up to 130 million rupees. Offcourse it will be a new Daihatsu Luxio MPV alternative in the range, without counting that Xenia, large maximum and Avanza which already proved liked by the customers indonsia

The new MPV is not a large maximum, it completely new, and the name for the new MPV is Luxio, here. it also known by the Alphard baby by much remote editor.

Daihatsu Terios, new SUV car which just already released by Daihatsu in the beginning of this year in Indonesia, seems to be a good choice for sporty lover customer. It looks smart with a new purposeful front end featuring a deep front bumper topped by a flat but curved bonnet. The rear end has a side opening door with a rear-mounted spare wheel and a window line that appears to wrap around into the main body of the car. It has a hint of RAV4 about it, which is not surprising considering Daihatsu’s parent company is Toyota.

Well,.. you can compare with some other competitor first before you decide to buy it. But, it seems interesting enough to compare what we will get Honda CRV, Toyota Fortuner and soon, with it's price and Daihatsu Terios with it's low price. Daihatsu Mud Master-C

This new design transporting concept car introduced by Daihatsu in Tokyo Motor Show 2007.It looks like a Dakar rally van that's been left in the wash too long. It's a true truck with a body-on-frame design, though. It's generous ride height and copious degrees of approach and departure angles mean that the Mud Master-C can actually go places while leaving an eency-weency footprint in its wake.
