Jalopnik: Virginia DMV accuses soccer mom of being sex pervert
Oh I had a chuckle over this one.
The Virginia DMV loves to hand out vanity license plates and then freak out and take them away. Remember EAT THE Kids First? Now the DMV's trying to pull the plates from a mom who just loves her two daughters.
Meet Dana Cobb, who has a Dodge Journey with those obnoxious stick figure logos on the back and a license plate proclaiming her love of the color pink and her two daughters. The license plate is "2INPINK," because she likes to dress her kids in pink.
She's had the plates for 12 years and, apparently, no one has complained until now. The local news had to talk around what it could mean but we can be more explicit.
*Edited out* (We are a family friendly blog) - follow the link below to read this part.
Who would think such a think thing? Only the Virginia DMV.
As we learned from Garth Yeaman's battle, the DMV takes in complaints over license plates and then sends those complaints to a panel of the dumbest, most prurient-minded, over-sensitive people they can find who then determine whether or not the plates are offensive.

News of the Weird: Haunted Honda offered for sale in L.A.
A driver is selling a very special 1992 Honda Accord on the Los Angeles craigslist — after spending thousands to fix it up, he reckons it’s still haunted. Some of the car’s special features: “Seems to be possessed by a demon or some sort of entity. Makes low mumbling backwards-like indistinguishable talking sounds through the speakers, which aren’t even hooked up to anything. There is no stereo in it, so it can’t be anything to do with that. When you get into the car, it makes you have odd feeling like you wanna leave fast to get out [of] the car and also there’s cold spot inside the rear seat makes you uneasy.”
He’s asking US$6,500, but he’ll take half that if you twist his arm.
Fair disclosure: The seller warns potential buyers that the vehicle is an attempted murderer: “It makes no sense at all, but it has almost killed me many of times while I was driving to work and school... Please take this car out of my life. May God Bless You & Have Mercy On Your Soul!”

Cars Vs. People: What's More Fuel Efficient?
Ever wondered whether walking was more resource efficient than driving? Although we know we poop more when we exercise, this chart finally helps us to answer that question a bit more scientifically. It turns out the human body is an extraordinarily efficient machine — much more so than even the most efficient car. Which gets us to wondering — shouldn't we be running our cars on people or Soylent Green?
While we ponder that question — take a look at the full chart here.

New Highway Design coming to a City Near You....
Here's one for monday morning to hopefully shake the weekend cobwebs away. Found this on Burlapp's Car Page and got a chuckle. What kind of speed would you need to tackle this? Let's just say I don't like my chances with anything other than a S2000 or say maybe a NSX, top speed (even then). From the Dutch architect firm NL.
