Dacia Duster Hybrid Crossover Concept To Debut In Geneva

.Dacia, an automaker with Romanian origins and is now subsidiary of Renault, will be unveiling its first concept at this year’s 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The Dacia Duster concept is a crossover coupe that has one-door on one side and two-doors on the other side. So while it can be pitched as sporty crossover, it can also come in handy as an MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle).
The Dacia Duster crossover concept is powered by a 1.5 dCi engine making 105-hp. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Duster can run from 0 to 62 mph in 9.6 seconds while returning a fuel-economy of 53 mpg (44 mpg in U.S. terms). No word on whether Renault and Dacia will put Duster into production but it sounds like a good idea for the European market…..”

New Honda Convertible Concept, Not the Next S2000

With the July 22nd London Auto Show approaching brings out a new concept from Honda, the Open Study Model or OSM. The lightweight, two-seater, open-air sports car is another design study by Honda that attempts to blend performance and sustainable motoring into a comprehensive package. Designed by Honda's R&D center in Offenbach, Germany, the OSM is a vehicle in the same environmentally friendly vein as the CRZ Concept unveiled in Tokyo last year, considered to be a low emissions alternative to the traditional sports coupe.

Honda insists that the OSM is strictly a design study and is not confirmed for production.

BMW's GINA Allows for Maximum Freedom of Crea-tivity

Yeah yeah, it's not a Honda, but man is that a cool idea as far as concepts go! It looks like they built a frame and covered it with some type of fabric (look at how the hood gets 'unzipped' and how the doors open). Awesome idea. I think this is the most aggressive front end that I have ever seen, it just looks angry.
