:::Back 2 Cars:::
It's been a long time since I've last updated about cars, so here is one for all of you Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Fans.
This is the Roadster version of the Mercedes SLR McLaren (A Mercedes with a McLaren Motor in it).In case you didn't know this the McLaren F1 used to be the fastest production car in the world; and it is one of my favorite cars. The body of the SLR is made of carbon fibre because of it's strength, torsional stiffness, safety, and lightness. The supercharged V-8 engine, with 626 hp, can reach a top speed of 332 km/h (the same as the coupe version). That sure would blow your hair around if you had the top down!! McLaren and Mercedes have taken materials used in aciation and space industries and put it into their cars: so cars like this SLR are very advanced in material and performance. 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds... oh yah!! These specs are unheard of for any convertable.

2008 Honda Civic Changes for Canada
Well, well. In Canada we have had a leather Civic for a few years now, it's been badged an Acura and has either been called a 1.7EL or more currently a CSX (not avail. in the US). There was a pretty good price premium to 'bend that H into a A' (and I've always wondered if the people who bought these things knew that the Accord EX-L leather was pretty much the same price), and it looks like Honda is looking to take the Acura line a little more 'upscale'. So, gone is the Acura CSX for 2008, and in is the 2008 Honda Civic EX-L, sedan and coupe! Yes. We are going to get a leathered up Civic, probably with a few other minor adds.
We will also be getting the much anticipated Si Sedan this year (those of you in the US have had this for a year now) and we have two new basic models, one DX adding AC only and the DX-G adds cruise control and alloy wheels. It seems like all models will get the subtle lip spoiler as well.
Should be a good year for Honda, they've positioned themselves well to combat the LONG awaited Toyota Corolla. (2009 now?!?) Can't wait for that car to come out, looks like it should be a nice car as well.
Honda's Legendary Crash Test Facility
With the ever increasing emphasis put on safety by automakers (and gov's forcing some automakers....) I though it would be interesting to put a little info together on the Crash test facility that Honda has to help them achieve some of the highest rating's out there. Here's the link;

:::It's Been Awile!:::
Hello everyone! It's been along time since I've updated. 1st of all I'll give you all the reason I was gone.
So Last week (July 8-15) my family and I were in Kimberly, BC for the Kimberly International Old Time Accordion Championships (KIOTAC). My Sister, Brother, and Dad all play the accordion. My Sister and Brother both competed. The whole week was pretty wicked cool. The Platzl is very nice place to spend some time looking through the stores (I stuck mostly to the bike stores). The Platzl is a nice place the whole area is covered in stone walkways, plants, and other stuff like that, very nice looking. In the middle of the place is a gazebo were the preformers can play the accordion music. The competitions are held at the Civic Center and so are the dances and concerts.
I got lots of exercise walking from our motorhome and the Civic Center and Platzl! Kimberly also recently opened a new swimming pool. We spent lots of time there, it's very nice with a small portion with a current (Like a wavy river) that was so awesome!! I also learned how to dance better and met some cool people.
If you ever think about going to the KIOTAC do it, it's a blast! (C U there next year!!).
More Car pics soon!

2008 Honda Odyssey Mid Model Change
Looks like any changes to the Odyssey will be minor. Vtec.net has a descent write up on the van, keep in my the Pax tires are only available in the US, not Canada, our climate has something to do with it. Here's the link;
